Since 1984, Beginnings workshop tuition fees have always been modest, and have rarely increased. This is a reflection of our view that personality and talent crosses all economic lines. The workshop was not designed for a student population consisting exclusively of those who can afford an expensive arts education. Our only interest is in who our students are as people, and how we can help them become successful personally, artistically, and professionally.
There are several reasons why we can afford to provide this experience for so many deserving young people. One of the biggest factors is that we do not incur the significant expense of hiring teachers, per se, which would entail union salaries, employee benefits, unemployment compensation, and related expenses. In contrast, our teaching staff consists primarily of working professionals- New York, Hollywood, and London actors, dancers, singers, choreographers, casting directors, writers, and many others. These individuals truly love sharing what they do for a living, and their primary income is derived through doing it! They are therefore able to share their teaching talents with us strictly as independent contractors, which benefits our students financially and on many other levels.
Tuition for the beginnings professional resident arts workshop includes full professional curriculum of classes, coaching, lectures and tours, six days/five nights of university housing (New York) or luxury hotel accommodations (London or Hollywood), nutritious daily meal schedule including full breakfast, lunch, and dinner, (all workshops), and 24-hour supervision.
Full and near-full scholarships are available for alumni only. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
