Mark Weston started his writing career in 1972. His books include "Baseball Bloopers" and "101 Kid Games" for Prentice-Hall. "Winning Monologues from the Beginnings Workshop", written with Peter Sklar, has been released by Bakers Plays/Samuel French.

Film writing credits include Crispus Attucks: Black Jack Pershing; One Strike You're Out!, optioned by Hanna-Barbara Productions; The Knights of Nam, written for Thunderbird Productions, Jim Beckwourth, mountainman; A New Tomorrow, Slade, and Carnival Magic, produced by Krypton Films and released by General Cinema in 1983.

Playwriting credits include Bagels and Luck winner of the national Pen Award and produced successfully Off-Broadway, at the Westbeth theater; I'm With You!, which received unanimous critical raves during its Off-Broadway run in 1982; and The Ninth of April, a two-character play dealing with General Robert E. Lee's surrender to General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House, which enjoyed an extended Off-Broadway run, and which also was presented by the Lime Kiln Arts center in Lexington, Virginia, as a tribute to the historic event on the ninth of April, 1994.

Other credits include Louise, a musical which had a successful Off-Broadway presentation at The Musical Theater Works in 1990, starring Paige O'Hara (the voice of Belle in the Walt Disney production of Beauty and the Beast), scheduled to open in Hollywood at the Tamirand theater; Extra Points; Split-Infinitive; De Witt C!; What the Hex!; A Sacred Trust; Flip-Flop; and Beckwourth. Mr. Weston has also written for soap operas.

Mark Weston was an actor before finding the pen. He has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, tours, many major T.V. series, soap operas, and early in his career, was a leading commercial actor. Mark feels that there is little difference between appearing on stage and writing. "It's the same instrument!"

Mark is presently a writing teacher at the Screen Actor's Guild Conservatory. Mark has been a beginnings workshop coach since the winter of 1991.
