The beginnings workshop has never been a profit-oriented program. If accepted, students are charged only $195 per day, which covers the complete cost of housing, all meals, and full participation in all professional activities at the workshop.

Young people who are interested in attending the beginnings workshop are normally required to participate in an introductory seminar and personal interview, both free of charge, with at least one parent. In some cases, the seminar requirement may be waived. You may email Mr. Sklar's office, (see below), to learn whether this would apply to your circumstances.

Acceptance to the workshop is based on the maturity, self-awareness, creativity, verbal expressiveness and self-motivation of applicants.

Complimentary seminars, each of which are conducted personally by Mr. Sklar, are held each year in approximately thirty cities across the United States.
